Biography
The aim of my research is to contribute to the study and characterization of planktonic populations in the oceans in the context of Climate Change. More specifically, I am interested in understanding the effects of environmental stressors as increased temperatures and increased pCO2 on phytoplankton organisms and populations. My work is focused too in the study of the possible alterations in the incorporation of silica to the valves of diatoms, a key process for these valuable microorganisms.
