Overview

As leader of the biological oceanography lab, Professor Susana Agustí works with a large group of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, research scientists and other professional staff in the Red Sea Research Center at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology to study marine organisms and how they interact with ocean ecosystems.

Environmental shifts associated with global changes (including the warming climate, expanded ultraviolet radiation and increased pollution) force responses from marine organisms and ecosystems. We seek to predict the impacts such global change stressors have on the marine organisms in the Red Sea in particular and on those in oceanic systems more broadly.
