Percival ​​​Incubator

Percival Scientific’s incubator creates a stable environment for monitoring test subjects of all kinds. With a variety of built-in features and optional components, this incubator is a versatile chamber suitable for many different applications.
The features of our m​​​​odel:
  • Fluorescent lamps vertically mounted and fluorescent lamps horizontally mounted in pairs above each shelf UV lamp horizontally mounted above each shelf.
  • Intensity programmable up to 115 micromoles/m2/sec of light irradiance measured at 6” from lamps on 2 on/off light events.
  • Programming and control of the lighting is done via Intellus Ultra real time controller.
  • Temperature range: 7-44C +/- 0.5ºC with lights on and 4-44C +/- 0.5ºC with lights off.
  • Experiment Protection: Adjustable high and low temperature controls, audible alarms, and visual indicators provided.
  • Controls shut down all power to chamber, activating alarms, when the temperature returns to the normal range the system will automatically reset​.

​AirFlow cabinet

A laminar flow cabinet or laminar flow closet or tissue culture hood is a carefully enclosed bench designed to prevent contamination of semiconductor wafers, biological samples, or any particle sensitive materials. Air is drawn through a HEPA filter and blown in a very smooth, laminar flow towards the user.

Laminar flow cabinets have a UV-C germicidal lamp to sterilize the interior and contents before usage to prevent contamination of experiment.

INFORS HT - Bioreactors

We u​​se a variety of bioreactors, incubators and aquaria to experimentally test the response of Red Sea organism to environmental changes.
 
The use of small-scale, multiple parallel bioreactor arrays is a very useful tool for screening, optimisation, media development or toxicity testing bioprocesses. INFORS HT offer multiple cell vessel systems from 500 mL to 10 L scale volumes, which can be controlled parallel, proving the capability to efficiently generate validated data very rapidly.

Our group have the next products:
Multifors 2 for bacterial or cell culture 0.5 or 1 L working volume.
Labfors 5 for bacterial or cell culture 1.2 - 10 L working volume.

Stock Cultures​​

We growth and culture in the laboratory devienes organisms isolated from the Red Sea. The photo shows our stock cultures of diatoms, flagellates and dinoflagellates.
